President's Corner
Hi All,
In July, which is still on-going at the time of writing, several of the members enjoyed contributing to the day at the Blair Drummond Safari Park outing for nineteen Chernobyl Children and supporters. We had a great day providing a barbecue in the rain while the kids wandered round the park in the dry. I touched a penguin which was very sweet but later established as not allowed.
We have had our Club Assembly, which gives huge hope and positive feelings for the next year. Ways and Means have great plans and our new Golf Day Committee are in full flow for 6th September. Here's to a great summer and a positive and successful year for the club that is Perth Kinnoull.
I urge you all to take part in our activities to fund-raise and be fellows to each other. Often we forget the efforts of the individuals that make up the Club and without them/us there would be no Club and no success.
I wish us all health and happiness for the year to come and support to each other in the event of need.
Have fun!
Amanda
Editorial
Welcome to the new look Chatters. I do hope that you
like it.
It will be a web based publication and, lacking the
benefit of hindsight and basic evasive skills, I have
accepted the task of editing it. Are all new Rotarians
treated so well??!!!
Chatters will not be distributed as a paper-copy in future. For those of you that prefer to read on-paper rather than on-screen the format is printer friendly so you should be able to print the pages of interest on a home printer. Let me know if there are any problems. However, mindful of the needs of the few members that do not have an internet connection, printed copies will be distributed on request. If you know anyone in this category, please let them know.
Any publication is only as good as its content. So please send any snippets, gossip, pictures or articles to me. The aim is to publish once a month.
I look forward to working with you all and keeping you informed. All comments are very welcome, both constructive and critical!
