Oct 31st - Steve Hunter , Tayside's Chief Fire Officer, gave an extended talk covering the role of the Fire Service in the prevention of fire and catastrophy in Tayside. The changing nature of the service, moving towards prevention rather than cure, was the key message.
Nov 7th - Visit of District Governor Bill Leslie-
Nov 14th - Business Meeting - The Club remains very active and healthy. A number of charities have been supported. See the Convenors' reports for details. Christmas Social will be on Dec 19th. Prior to that, the Perth Rotary Clubs' Ceilidh is to be held on Dec 8th.
Nov 21st - Niall Lobley, Senior Ranger with Perth & Kinross Council gave an interesting overview of the current management for the Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park. Over the next five years there will be many improvements, making the Hill more accessible for all. Unfortunately many members were absent due to Curling and Rugby commitments, however those that were there contributed to the evening with many questions and constructive comments.
Ian E Brown, on behalf of the Sports Council, thanked the PK rotarians who had participated in the sports quiz. A particular thankyou was expressed for the purchase, at auction, of a rugby shirt signed by Gavin & Scott Hastings and Ian McLauchlan, which will be donated as an auction item at the President's Dinner.
