- Africa, a talk by Peter Botright....was riveting. Peter talked extensively about his life in Zimbabwe before and since 1981. The transition from a country with a relatively high quality of life for all, irrespective of wealth, to one in which only a privileged few are well looked after was graphically described....Frightening is the word that springs to mind!!.

- Africa 2 This time a more positive outlook for Swaziland, although health is a major issue there. Kenneth Jefferson, who hails from Perth and is also a Rotarian, gave us an amusing and informative talk about his work as a Baptist minister in Mbabane, the capital.
