Once again KidsOut took place at the Active Kids Adventure Park in Stanley on Wednesday 12th June. KidsOut is a National Rotary event; last year over 30,000 children participated nationally.
There were approximately 60 children. 40 came from Fairview School and 20 from the RDM Special School. There were a similar number of adults as teachers, carers and some parents accompanied the youngsters.
Whilst the weather wasn't the kindest this year this did not upset the childrens enjoyment. There was lots of laughter, and smiles as well as a lot of energetic activity expended, not only from the children!
Kerr and Suzanne Currie, the owners of the Stanley Adventure Park, continue to support the event by giving free access to all the children and adults for the day. Suzanne has already booked us for next year which will be the second Wednesday in June!
