CHINA IN PICTURES

When Mike Graham's speaker cancelled at short notice he turned to his wife Jane who kindly stood in and told the story of their trip to China, including lots of photos of the more well-known landmarks.

First she took us to Beijing for views of the Great Wall of China and the Emperor's Summer Palace. Then Beijing to Xi'an for a visit to the Terracotta Army before going on to Nanjing and views of the famous double-decker bridge across the Yangtze River.

Getting towards the end of their journey they travelled from Nanjing to Suzhou on the Bullet Train, travelling at speeds of 300 kph, then on to Shanghai before returning home via London.   Many thanks to Jane for her rescue act and for showing us some lovely photos - particularly those of her favourite Buddhas!
