We were kindly given access to the Scout Hall at Perth Academy to display the various works of art entered into this year's competition.
A rather sizeable total of 106 entries were received from local schools Perth Academy, Perth St.John's, Perth High School, Perth Grammar School, Strathallan, Glenalmond and Kilgraston, and a high level of skill and imagination was on show.
The judging was carried out by members of the Perthshire Art Association and the winners and runners-up will have their works professionally mounted to be then put on show at the Perthshire Art Association's annual exhibition in the Fergusson Gallery in Perth. This will run from the 12th November to the 12th December. The winners will be announced at a preview event on Thursday 11th November and prizes given out then - story to follow.
Pictured are Rotarians Ken Thomson, Douglas Sinclair, Steve Fairlie, "Friend of Rotary" (and Steve's son) Adam Fairlie and Ian E. Brown, who did all of the organising for this event - a special thanks to Ian for effort in this. Behind the camera is club President Brian Johnson.
Further 'candid' pictures taken of the perusal by the judges and a chance of some fellowship between rotarians.
