Gordon Allen, who is a tour guide at Bahousie Castle Black Watch Mueum, gave us a summary of the history of the Black Watch which is now part of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

He was born in Perth and, leaving shool at 15, joined the Royal Navy Boys' Training School, after which he flew to Singapore to join HMS Diana (Destroyer).

After 9 years in the Royal Navy Gordon worked on the oil rigs for two years before joining the Fire Brigade, where he served for 25 years until his retirement.
